mousie..........I am curious. The linux/Windows conclusion is based on a timings run on a 1m super pi run. Can you try running same again using 32m as the bechmark.....that would probably be a more representative run than than a 30 second jobbie. Ya never know......the result may show linux in an even better light than the 1m benchie. round one...tested windows first since it was still running since i rebooted to wcg a bit... 37m 17.766s, using the modded/enchanced/whatever version here winxp pro, sp2...now rebooting to gentoo. ![]() |

using gentoo, 64 bit version, so may add to the difference, though what i would guess is 32 bit app...

no troubles here...wait a sec...i've been folding...
---------------------------------------- lol...fedex just showed up at our door to apologize for the misdelivery. at least they didn't just completely abandon us i guess... on an interesting note...i just downloaded knoppix and am currently running superpi there as well...seems to be moving along faster than actual installed systems, surprisingly will see the final time on it...edit....interesting....2072.010 seconds from start till "end of calculation"...and then it aborted cause it couldn't write to hard drive...though i assume that's the total time. so, 34 minutes, 32.01 seconds...with knoppix livecd [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Aug 3, 2005 10:47:54 PM] |

Just some stats to guide us all by except Siscm of course....To make any list (#5000) you will need, for points 127,716, for results 531, and for cpu time 205 days/14 hours/23 minutes/51 seconds....Just throwing out some goals for the future...
