I followed your example branjo. Was running 7.0.42 and getting immediate errors suggesting resetting project. Downgraded to 7.0.31 and now the HCC ATI betas are running.
----------------------------------------I am using MAc OS X 10.8.2 on Mac Pro Westmere 6 core 3.33ghz with ATI Radeon HD 5770. The monitor seems a bit jittery but is tolerable.

BOINC 7.0.31, Mac OS 10.8.2, Radeon 6770M
These had been running okay and validating, but now I get an immediate 'Aborted: run time limit exceeded' and then 'Computation Error' after a few seconds on each task. on my iMac, Intel i5-2500S CPU@2.70GHz running MacOSX 10.8.2 (12C60) no Problem so far...
----------------------------------------All beta are valid for me. Using Boinc 7.0.31 (x86) (hmmm.. i thought i had installed a 64bit client....) When i took a look at the WU in progress, i saw, those are resends where other produced errors.... Mostly 5-6 machines tried those Beta-WUs before me...

Maybe it is too long a time the minitest at front took. If that fails, the task is aborted. Momentary system loads could account for the variability in succeeding and failing the test on a host, where the base default is, to not GPGPU crunch when the user is doing input such as through mouse, keyboard, joystick. Is it a laptop, given the M at the end of the card series number? |

Is it a laptop, given the M at the end of the card series number? Newer desktop iMacs also have "M" GPUs (e.g. my "mid 2011 iMac" has HD 6770M) Crunching@Home since January 13 2000. Sure, the "M"'s are much weaker. The compute power of HD 6700 series is up to 696 GigaFLOPS SP, while HD 6770 "full" GPU is up to 1.36 TFLOPs

A mobile intended card in a desktop system with a "you need to buy a pro to get all cylinders? If so, glad to be aware of these Cupertino sales ways. /ot

I am guessing it is because of "thickness madness" in Cupertino. You can hardly put desktop GPU into this
----------------------------------------Edit to add: Anyway, for normal use, I am more than satisfy with iMac. If it can use it also for WCG GPU crunching, it is nice bonus for me Crunching@Home since January 13 2000.
