Nope, I do not trust any government, especially not ours. I have seen (and witnessed) how politicians can (and are likely to) misuse ordinary people who possess firearms for their own interests without even thinking nor taking care about consequences. That is why I will always be against easy access to guns. Not for outlawing them (as we can track from not that far history as well as from the present, prohibition does not solve the problems), just make it more complicated for people to obtain some.
