GPU Not found error in BOINC Manager

Others will probably have this problem. This is how I fixed it.


Ran fine for a few days. I removed GamerOSD and SmartDoctor.
Smartdoctor is for Asus cards and I just put in a Sapphire card.
Smartdocttor kept telling me that an Asus card was not found and slowed down each boot process.
So I removed it along with GamerOSD which was also not necessary for my use.
Afterward BOINC said GPU not found

For repair:
Download latest BOINC manager
Download CCleaner
Download the latest driver for your graphics card
Download Driver Sweeper

Uninstall your current Graphics card drivers and any software such as Catalyst Control Center.
Reboot into safe mode
Run Driver Sweeper
Run CCleaner (ran both cleanup and registry cleaner)
Both programs removed old registry keys related to the old drivers
Reboot to normal mode
If BOINC is not the latest manager, remove and install latest BOINC manager
Run Disk Clean up found in Windows System called: cleanmgr.exe
Stop and exit BOINC if it is running
Install your latest graphics card driver
Reboot


Running the GPU jumped my points from an average of 41,000 pts a day to 150,000 pts per day and rising as more WU's are validated. Wow!
