Hahaha ... it must be "freaky friday". First an update to the Cold Fusion Scam and now a Death Star. (Slow news day?) To me, this petition is redundant as the White House is already a "Death Star".  Enjoy your Friday crunchers.  Freaky friday it is! Only 17.7k more signups needed in 7 days or around 2.5k a day. Here's something for you to ponder on [if you will]: In the USA, census taking is something of statistics to determine what this 27,119 by proxy signifies. Many a case is lobbied hard, and is definitely not representative, but if IIRC the multiplicator used is like 100 or 1000, each vote equals that number of others. This means that either 2.71 or 27.1 million in the USA are deemed to really share the same idea. There's no fiscal cliff to worry about [something one just become grandaddy set up to happen in his presidential days]

Thanks for your repies Sek and astrolabe! I know...I am not happy because of the political reasons for having a Death Star...and not being On it and instead being a target is of course very bad.
----------------------------------------I am happy from a pure technological point of view. It would be a very interesting project to pull off! It's like when quantum computers become available...I can only imagine what WCG can do by then - joining together thousands (if not millions) of such PCs. Perhaps even quantum GPUs for HCC phase 150 or something by then? :) So, even though quatum computers Will be used for bad things and get into the wrong hands, it is still something to strive for and at least it is something to be happy about from a technical POV...just a parallel to the Death Star project and from which angle I view it...
