I'm running a factory install of Windows 8 (64 bit, x64) and BOINC 7.0.31. I had no problems with the install.

When I try to add World Community Grid as my account manager (using the address http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org), I am prompted to enter my user name and password. I do so, and I get the aforementioned error popup. The Notices tab says:

EDIT: I attempted to connect twice during that session. I have also already attempted uninstalling and reinstalling BOINC, and double checked my password.
