Re: unable to upload

Did you have any GPU tasks in cache before you put the app_info file back into the project folder? If you let them all complete and then put it in that could be your problem.

Re: unable to upload

Put the app_info back, restart BOINC, and copy/paste the first 30 or so lines from the event log. Maybe something will pop out.

I tried a reset again to make sure nothing is in cache when I changed to Appl_info. Still cannot download anything when using app_info. I also tried reinstalling Boinc.

Here is the beginning of my messages.

10/28/2012 8:04:13 PM | World Community Grid | [error] State file error: missing application file wcg_hcc1_img_6.56_windows_intelx86__nvidia_hcc1

This indicates the hcc gpu program hasn't been downloaded or BOINC can't find it.

Are you sure you had been running HCC GPU?

Try this:
    Shutdown BOINC
    remove the app_info.xml
    restart BOINC
let it download all of the files required for the hcc gpu
let it get some hcc gpu tasks
set the client to not get new work
let the downloaded hcc gpu WUs finish
    shutdown BOINC
    put the app_info.xml back
    restart BOINC
    reenable new work

If I remove the app_info file, by renamming it and restart BOINC, everything works fine. The two GPUs process HCC using two CPUs and the other six CPUs process other WCG WUs. I let the GPU work complete. Then rename the app_info file to app_info, and restart the computer. The above error message are what I get.

Try this. Finish all the tasks you have in cache. Shut down boinc and remove the app_info file from the WCG project folder but do not rename it. (It has to stay app_info.xml) Restart boinc and download some new GPU tasks but suspend them before they finish. Shut down boinc again and drop the app_info file back into the WCG project folder and restart boinc. You need GPU tasks in the folder for the app_info to get all the info it needs to work. That's why you're getting those | File referenced in app_info.xml does not exist: hcckernel.cl.6.56 errors. Hopefully that will fix your problem. If this doesn't work theirs 1 more thing to try. Remove the app_info file, finish all the tasks in cache then detach and then reattach to WCG. Download some GPU tasks, suspend them, shut down boinc, drop the app_info.xml file into the project folder, restart boinc then resume your tasks.

You should keep a copy of this http://www.mediafire.com/?u38au9tpbs9sk8o saved somewhere, these files need to be in world community grid's project folder.
