Re: HCC GPU WUs are "Invalid"

If your running 100% cpu, try freeing up one thread to see if your still getting invalids. Maybe even 2.

My processor is Pentium Dual Core, so freeing up 2 threads would mean disabling CPU wink

I reduced WCG allowance to 50% processor usage, but still not a single valid result. I guess I need to give up.

Martin

I freed 1 of 4 threads. Got one "Valid" and numerous "Invalids". The valid wingman had a Cypress GPU. I looked at the result log of both Cedar and Cypress, other than the Cedar being slower, I didn't notice any difference. As a matter fact, the "Valid" log to me looks similar to all the numerous "Invalids" I get. Must be some skewed data point. alien 2 This will be moot in a few days as my Cape Verde GPU is on it's way. dancing

Re: HCC GPU WUs are "Invalid"

my Cedar (FirePro 2270) works now with Boinc 7.0.36 (x64) and AMD Catalyst 12.10 Win 7 pro (x64).
There are always some WU's with Cedar invalid.
The Sensor shows CPU 53° C CPU and 41° C MB. This is over month's so and ok for me.
Other Project "Einstein@home" works on the same Cedar since month's with no invalids.
I'm hopeful that the issue would be found.
The WU's are so fast finished with the GPU's. It's nice to see this.javascript:smilie('smile')

There are two pictures in every HCC GPU WU. After 50%, the work of the second picture begins. If the WU's where changed at this moment in Boinc GPU's (GPU 0 WU in GPU 1 and GPU 1 WU in GPU 0) both finished, but the HD 5x00 with Errors, also when the whole WU works in HD 5x00).
Is it possible that the bug in the HD 5x00 is not in the work of the pictures?
Because, if they where changed at 50 % and ends in HD 6x00 there are no errors.
Hope this info may be help you to find the bug with the AMD Cedar (AMD FirePro 2270).
