----------------------------------------The quote comes from Red Dwarf, Series 3, although I'm not sure about any original attribution if any. It makes an interesting point that made me think: "They say that every grid member is only a cache of Work Units away from revolution. Deprive a cruncher of WUs for the length of their cache, and you have anarchy" Well, maybe not quite anarchy, but it feels a bit tense around here. All support to the techs working tirelessly to fix the current issue and to the CAs and others trying to keep everyone calm. Here's a final thought about deprivation that I quite like: "There is only one real deprivation... and that is not to be able to give one's gifts to those one loves most" - May Sarton |

... and relax. Liberation from deprivation has arrived. It's a bit like feeding starving people. Drip-feed us the WUs to stat with - if we fill up our caches completely all in one go, it's not healthy.
