Re: All my CFSW in inconclusive state since Yesterday on Windows 7 machine

Just wonder how often we need to go through the cycle for "concern, alarm, oh, it's fine". Someone respected commented "members worry too much".... jobs not going invalid or error in series... machine is fine. WCG maintains threshold error checks. If these are not exceeded, things are fine. If it's not a widespread issue [usually few to half a dozen reports to include "I think I had that problem too"], things are fine. If the validator is off, even for a full morning session, things are still fine. So, long as at least I think things are not topsy turvv, no notes on the back room blackboard to interrupt for something that usually pans out. Does not mean you can't post about it, but will just peruse and fast forward without comment, if things are estimated as "will turn out just fine".

P.S. I've corrected the thread title. No thing as C4SW or CSFW... neither bionic or boinic... the program is called BOINC. You want to be original... you break the search engine [is that fine?]. Not going to look for past discussion results with idiosyncratic acronyms or otherwise. Makes support just harder. Want it swift, write it down complete and correct. That approach makes things mighty fine.

Morning rant, end. tongue

Re: All my CFSW in inconclusive state since Yesterday on Windows 7 machine

As I type, I see 2-pages of PVal, and 12-pages of PVer. Of recent past, I usually have a page or two of PVal, and a page or two of PVer. I imagine that the CFSW-rush (before the project ends) has something to do with the increase in volume of the said PVal and PVer. Not a big deal there, however, as much as things are 'estimated as will turn out just fine' as CA SekeRob indicated.

Mine has gone mad, 55 pages of Pending Verification. Yesterday was like 68 pages.

Re: All my CFSW in inconclusive state since Yesterday on Windows 7 machine

Deep breath ... Likely due to the WUs that were sent out and crashed turning many machine into 'suspects'. Perhaps your machine(s) fell into this or perhaps you are just being asked to be a wingman for others. I'm sure this will all clear in a few days and while I'm all for WCG helping us utilize our resources wisely, I think that by the time it would take to unknot the details in order to clean things up, it will self-correct anyway.

This unintended "de-trusting" by the server 700 system, will have added a few months/year CPU time to crunch the project to an end. The famous Murphy law working to a few's favor this time around.

As I'm desperate for the project to be extended, any extra verification that's needed, is fine by me tongue

No Complaints on the extra wingman work. Us little wingman scrambling for our next badge before the CFSW well goes dry are happily crunching everything your tossing over the wall to us.....
