hello Falconet
Thanks for the best wishes for my son, most appreciated. God knows he will need many people to help and pray for him as life goes forward. As for staying on after HCMD2 finishes, I think I will since the other projects are of huge importance as well. My son is obviously a very small part of the world (but a big part of mine) and I can only think that he will want me to do the best I can. |

Hi kismetix, thanks for posting about your son. For me, there's no better reminder of the reason we crunch. It's not for numbers that pile up on a webpage or funny colored images, but real lives we can all impact and improve.
I'm happy to say a prayer for your son. He can touch the lives of us all. |

yes we must go all in HCMD2 to the end . i am also directly concerned and after will move to others projects aimed chiefly to cure children. They are the first ones deserving our struggle. GO AHEAD! Agree. But in my opinion, all sub-projects in WCG are aimed to cure (also) children. C4CW for example might not be perceived as such, but think about it - how can we have healthy children without clean drinkable water? All our effort here in WCG is for our children and grandchildren. Cheers and NI! Crunching@Home since January 13 2000. Shrubbing@Home since January 5 2006 |

I am 'all in', I can assure you! This is unbelievably good news! I sure hope this massive volume of calculated data can be sorted out in the next couple of years. I am especially hoping that it can be of benefit to my young son, who is in his 3rd year of life. I hope too. Be sure of it. And this evening, I'll ask for news tasks to help finishing this projects as soon as possible. So that many children can be cured very, very soon. |

Hello Etienne
I am sure that this work will benefit our young children around the world soon! I am keeping both computers (one at home, one at work) crunching away on this project... I am very glad to hear that you are taking on new tasks for this project...As they say, many hands make for light work! I know my son thanks all of you, as I do most gratefully! |

I know our prior estimates for the completion date indicated that we would be done already. However, those estimates did not factor in delays required to handle the children and grand-children work units. Our new estimate is that we will complete this project in a little more than 5 weeks from now. We expect the researcher to provide an update soon after that. Thanks go to everyone who has contributed to this project. Hi Viktors, would you please give us another update on this project ? |

would you please give us another update on this project ? Adam, your BEST bet is to Add to Favorites and periodically check SakeRob's project estimation dashboard, located here -- http://bit.ly/WCGPI1. It provides the estimated runway in days. If the HCMD2 admins give word of a better estimate, the Dashboard will likely reflect the change too. |

We have 355,685 'children' and 413,437 'grand children' workunits currently waiting to loaded and run. We also have 2 days worth of work currently loaded in that is waiting to run. We have been finishing about 40,000 workunits per day. That leaves us with about 20 days of work. Given that additional grand-children and some great grand children will be generated during the running. We would expect to see somewhere around 25 days of constant work available.
