Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

My quad is returning WUs that are all in P Vel, so there are resends being produced at a slow rate. I currently have about 100 P Vel.
Though my cache will be dry for C4SW before the end of the weekend.

Cache is down to 130. The end is drawing near although the repairs are still trickling in

Down to 51 IP. I'd of been happy just to crunch my cache but the repairs keep coming in

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

I have only 2 WUs in PV and any others are Valid. I am not going to try adding any more time to get to 3 years. I hope there are enough crunchers still working on CFSW for it to reach completion.

I bet you don't need to worry about this at all... a) there will still be some badge-hunters looking for every single unit they can get and b) There are plenty units around with all projects enabled... so I don't expect major delays due to people pulling off dedicated machines... (as I mean with CFSW-project only)

The only point with these wu's is that even if you catch 20-30 or 50 repair units... my cores usually did crunch these in somewhat an hour's time... which means that if you need i.e. like 20 cpu-days for a new badge, that would mean you'd be looking for 20*24 wu's... and that is where things might become hard...

I already consider the project as finished. As lots of people have their cache run down to nearly 0, this makes the no-reply become very rare... as crunch-engines have less stress to work these off...

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

We are out of regular work for CFSW. There are currently 780,000 workunits 'in progress' that remain until we finish the project. However, there will only be 'resents' from this point forward to complete those workunits.

So Kevin posted this [Sep 20, 2012 2:02:02 PM], Right around the midday stats. Since we've done:

20th 222,256 (Full day stats)
21st 167,069
22nd 134,304
23rd 125,089
24th 106,430
25th 97,168
26th 48,244 (Noon)

Taking half of the 20th to account for the noon UTC announcement, validated results totaled 789,432 (including repairs/no-reply fixes). Guess there's still some to go... you take a stab, but 100,000+ is the low ball number I guess there are.

Have 2 fresh "No Reply" jobs in my 1.5 days buffered client patiently waiting on the "server aborted" instruction ;>)

Wrote the quoted yesterday. Then we're 24 hours on and.

26th 48,244 (Noon) - 88,444 full day
27th 47,900 (Noon)

That's 88000 more results validated in 24 hours, 6 days after official new work supply end, and got another "No reply" of batch 15212 just now which makes it 5 received for the afternoon, 3 NR and 2 PVer, and still my octo is on a 5 way science profile suggesting there are many CFSW still coming from the drip.

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

Received 36 WU since 0:00 GMT. Maybe I will make that 8 years.

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

Ah, at last [a little later than anticipated ;o]... Project Stats History. Great addition, for any stats junky. Something went slightly pear shaped my side on the daily detail stats, so this now allows to back track when that happened, probably between August 30 and September 8... somewhere a few thousand WU's difference.

Goodoos

P.S. Small gap to make the roll up to global daily totals history water-tight... Beta history Strike that, not listed on the statistics by project sidebar, but the history options are working same as the projects [and for the completed projects at that]:O

edit: What coincidence... the difference was with CFSW. biggrin

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

I just hit 8 years. I'd abort the rest of my WUs if I was on the same tectonic plate as my crunchers. I'll probably overshoot by about 50 days.
