Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

@ zombie67 [MM]
Is this the sub-project that may be doing one more batch later on? Or am I getting it confused with a different sub-project?

I think you're confused with CfCW which is currently paused with a resumption expected late(?) September.

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

We are out of regular work for CFSW. There are currently 780,000 workunits 'in progress' that remain until we finish the project. However, there will only be 'resents' from this point forward to complete those workunits.

So Kevin posted this [Sep 20, 2012 2:02:02 PM], Right around the midday stats. Since we've done:

20th 222,256 (Full day stats)
21st 167,069
22nd 134,304
23rd 125,089
24th 106,430
25th 97,168
26th 48,244 (Noon)

Taking half of the 20th to account for the noon UTC announcement, validated results totaled 789,432 (including repairs/no-reply fixes). Guess there's still some to go... you take a stab, but 100,000+ is the low ball number I guess there are.

Have 2 fresh "No Reply" jobs in my 1.5 days buffered client patiently waiting on the "server aborted" instruction ;>)

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

I've just been getting resends for the past 3 days. Just dribbles and not enough to keep a bucket filled.

Unless the dribbles stick around long enough I will miss the mark for sapphire on this project. sad

Cheers coffee

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

branjo, this news bulletin is likely designed for email circulation, so that none forum visiting members are alerted to the fact that their BOINC client might run idle, if not is already idle, offering the choice to select other WCG sciences. The true end in form of the last validated result is maybe still 10-14 days away.

It's going to be a funny mail, as it will be telling me I've got about 78 days to go till the last attainable badge (not counting Beta).

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

Yes, I am following the progress of all sub-projects even those i am not shrubbing any more.

This article along with similar one about ending of CMD2 are at least something we can use as (really basic) marketing & advertising materials without going through bunch of threads here and extracting info from them, or crunching official web pages of projects and trying to translate them into Humanish.

Cheers and NI! :-)

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

I'm seeing a lone WU trickle in every few hours. WU buffer is almost depleted, as work is being completed much faster than new ones can come in.
