I would agree that too, would be nice to have a new badges on 5 years for me anytime :)

Adding just one badge, 5 years, wouldn't take to long to do. Then in a year or so, add another. But only if time permits. With the server issues about fixed and beta still trying to get going, no big hurry for additional fluff.

I understand that there are a lot of threads discussing this, but this looks like the most recent one in this forum... which appears to be the right place for it.
----------------------------------------Firstly, I've seen these discussions go round and around and just let me state up-front... I understand that this may be far from the top of the to-do list for the WCG techs, that their time is precious and limited and I fully support any activities maintaining and improving the funcaitonality/stability of WCG and the introduction of new projects taking priority over this. However, in the event that there is the decision to put some time aside to address this, then my 2-pence (or cents if you prefer) on this is basically in a couple of areas: 1. An "any contribution" badge, for those who have had at least one valid WU on a project but not got enough for bronze... it could be white or transparent, but would be particularly beneficial to those who are contributing to the BETA project to show that they are contributing in the early days (or in my case, early years). 2. Add additional badges for the "super-crunchers", continuing the natural doubling requirement for the next achievement - implement 4, 8 and 16 year badges, since these things tend to come in threes... a future consideration could be given to 32, 64 and 128 year badges, but as that would only address a small number (in the wider context of the total number of crunchers) of users, it could be considered later on when more people get there. |

1.
