BOINC 6.10.58 test request for throttling!

Since going back from 7.0 to 6.10 is not an option for me due backward compatibility [work in progress gets wiped], can someone with a 6.10.58 client please do following in the local preferences [if you're already using these].

1. Set in the disk/memory tab "Leave application in memory when suspended" [tick box]
2. Set in the processor tab, "Use at most 25% of CPU time"
3. Set activity menu to "Run Always"

Please advise if the interval computing of 1 second on 3 seconds off continues, or if the client switches to continuous computing.

Want to confirm if there is a behavioral change with the client 7 release, which at least from 7.0.28 to 7.0.31 continues throttling even when set to "Run Always".

Thanks

When I do this, my cpu usage is cut to 25%, very jagged performance chart. Run Always is overridden by Use At Most 25.00%.

Thanks Lawrence,

That's a shame [and maybe still Spock logic, if laptop operators wish to override the "idle when using computer" or the processor scheduling.

With that, I've asked the developers to quick fix the header of the last 3 processor tab items to change from "Other options", to something like "Other options [always in effect]", absent hover balloons for those 3 giving any hint on this.
