I'm currently seeing the same error as P.P.L. om 3 of my systems. They do eventually clear themselves up but I'm wondering if these may be an indication of a problem that is going to get worse

I am now getting the same errors as PPL. Before knreed changed whatever he said he changed, things were fine. Now I see:

It happens to almost every one. They eventually DO get uploaded and reported, but it can take hours when I'm not around to finally get it sent back and then reported. It seems to be the upload that's the problem here. I'm running 6.12.34.  i5-12600K (3.7GHz), 32GB DDR5, Win11 64bit Home |

Same problem here on both windows and linux systems. All eventually succeeded.

4th of July, half the US is playing online Call of Duty, Black Ops, the other half is waiting for stable power restore and internet.
----------------------------------------Seriously, my latest greatest test client has logged 9 of these red liners **, but varying from server maintenance to proxy failure [I've not got one]. No intervention ever required. 4th of July, half the US is playing online Call of Duty, Black Ops, the other half is waiting for stable power restore and internet. So (at least) half the servers are playing as well? :-) |

Well, I just got home from work and now have over 30 of these trying to upload, saying the same thing. Here's 2 of the 30+ I have:

I have to manually click RETRY NOW to get them to do it, as they're just not going through on their own. I've even watched a few try and they still fail to upload unless I click that button. Hello Bugg,
This is happening to me about once a day. This morning one of my uploads failed around 0816 UTC but finally went through 4 minutes later. I don't want to treat this as an emergency, but I am sure that the staff will be looking into it fairly soon, if they aren't already. My plan is to let them  Lawrence |

Just 2 kicks in past 12 hours:
2458 5-7-2012 9:47:21 BOINC can't access Internet - check network connection or proxy configuration. 2542 World Community Grid 5-7-2012 10:10:10 [error] Error reported by file upload server: Maintenance underway: file uploads are temporarily disabled. This is a WIFI machine. Often briefly suspending BOINC networking or refreshing the device to router connection (disconnect/connect) helps to kick, but so far, no intervention on my part. --//-- |

Shortly after the last post in this thread we made our final change that should resolve this issue. We have seen significantly greater stability since then - those of you who were seeing this issue, can you confirm that you have not experienced it in the last 3 days?

From few and far between, to none whatsoever since when I wrote previously.
(And now there is that DNS Changer thing, my [big] ISP send a mail about with an online diagnostic link, click click [after verifying it really was from my ISP], and confirmed... not on this host. :) |
