Good day.
Maybe it's time to update 6.10.58 version that is offered to download to 7.*? |

Hello DeadJDona,
We updated the BOINC server code months ago to work with BOINC 7. I have been astonished reading about all the errors in BOINC 7. I assume that the WCG staff did all the server upgrade work because they are following the BOINC 7 debug process. So my personal opinion is that we will probably adopt a WCG version of BOINC 7 this year. Lawrence |

It's on the agenda [planned], when 7.0.xx has fully stabilized, which it has not! There are many reasons why WCG will *not* jump on any new version, to include the requirement to perform a full code security audit, without which the large contributors would not even touch BOINC with a long pole. Want to jump the WCG gun... go and fetch at Berkeley or as the Linux distro's have, obtain from the software repository.
Meantime, WCG is one of the early adopters of BOINC server 700, so it's full ready to communicate with and use all features of BOINC 7.0.xx --//-- |

why? Just an FYI. It doesn't apply to WCG at this time and probably never will but there are now some GPU apps that will not run on a version of BOINC lower than 7.0.27.
