As the population ages there will be alot of baby boomers having to deal with Alzheimer Disease. I personally know how this "disease" can rob a much loved family member of their quality of life and dignity in their twilight years of life.
Is there a possibility of a Cure for Alzheimer Disease Project similar to the Help Conquer Cancer project currently running? Clive |

Think to have seen that Rosetta@Home has done some protein folding with Alzheimer as a target and it was discussed in this thrtead: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,28763.
WCG is a free *host*, taking any distributed computing research project that meets the objectives of WCG, which an Alzheimer target would do too, if it is not considered duplication of what any other DC project in BOINC world is already doing. If you know one that has this as target that is aimed to run through computational biology, tell them of what WCG can do for them. --//-- |
