Hello David_L6, My update worked just great. But I have had varying degrees of trouble occasionally when I update without rebooting first. The reboot seems to present the update software with a clean software environment. When I get in a hurry, it almost always updates without trouble. Almost is a temptation and a lure. This last year I have always remembered to suspend BOINC, shut down programs. reboot, update, reboot then resume BOINC and reestablish any ebooks I am reading. Lawrence Looks like the problem, whatever it is, is working itself out. The second computer never had a bobble after the Windows update. The first computer is now returning mostly Valid. Still a few Inconclusives but not a lot and no more Errors. Do you reboot your pc's after they update? I NORMALLY do as soon as I see an update was done, some of my pc's are on auto update some are on manual update. I did suspend all work and let the computer reboot after the update. When I noticed that I was getting Errors and Inconclusives I rebooted again and more. (It's all in my first post...) Everything appears to be OK now. ![]() |
