You're fine, dandy, OK to upgrade to 6.10.58. WCG will be looking at 7.0.xx, whatever 7.0.xx version latest stable release there will be late summer, early Autumn [is the loose plan], to code audit and adopt as new recommended version. The current is good to run the coming WCG GPU science though and it's betas, both on NVidia and ATI compatible cards [OpenCL].

Should you upgrade to W8, then I'd recommend 7.0.28. It's test still, but due to be promoted to recommended, at least, not seen any important showstoppers. This one installs proper on this new OS, both service and user level. Have it had running now since whenever it came out, no hitches, either on Win7 or Lnx.
