BOINCStats - Site Revisions

BOINCStats has revised its website. As with any changes, some like it and some do not. Willy is actively responding to comment at the moment. Check it out out BOINCStats users and see what you think.

One thing I noticed is that you have to go to two different tabs to get project details vs. BOINC totals. Not that one extra click is a problem but I thought it was strange they took it off the detail page. I'll have to check out more of the site.

Re: BOINCStats - Site Revisions

It's different... yes. Had to refresh my bookmark shortcuts. The daily history has been expanded to 40 days. Still not having the fuzzy feeling about the import timestamps. WCG's last was between 12:17 and 12:31 UTC and BS shows as last import: Last update user XML 2012-04-30 23:17:20 GMT (04:39:30 old), which does not seem right... April 30 being 4:39 hours ago?

--//--

Edit: Oh wait, was wondering how we lost 1100 members overnight. Compared to my history and the numbers shown today match my record of... April. 30

My record:

380,407 90,780 1,464,143 243,620 12/04/30

BS record May 17:

380,407
Active users 90,780 (23.86%)
Hosts 1,464,143
Active hosts 243,620 (16.64%)
Teams 20,953
Active teams 8,704 (41.54%)

Willy has a little to do ;>)

Re: BOINCStats - Site Revisions

As with many New & Improved things, I don't find much of either for now. Page time/date update stamps seem to be gone or I haven't found them yet. Had to redo my bookmarks. Generally I have to go more place to get what I look for. As you said there are some bugs to be worked out.

tongue I'll say this softly ... I think WCG is going to roll out changes tomorrow, eh? tongue

Re: BOINCStats - Site Revisions

Well, Berkeley and download location and developer alpha mail all stalled 2 days ago. Wonder where the poor potential crunchers are going to fetch their agent in the mean time. Notably, found Willy'd download page of all the agents but that's also pointing to Berkeley.

And see in the BS shoutbox, that a power cable shorted somewhere dug into a hill, somewhere in California I suppose... point not found yet.

Re: BOINCStats - Site Revisions

Confirm; I cannot get to anything at BOINC.

As to the cable, they must have plugged it in to the RIGHT. Everything at Berekely plugs in to the LEFT. biggrin

Lots of changes happening.

Re: BOINCStats - Site Revisions

I spent some time with it last night. I hope these changes help Willy as he is one of the true Distributed Computing "heros". It does not do anything one way or another for me. Just takes more bookmarks. Lots of bugs remaining.

Re: BOINCStats - Site Revisions

This thread is open so I thought I would reuse it. I noticed this morning that WCG apparently reported -73,025,133 credits to BOINCStats.
http://boincstats.com/en/stats/projectStatsInfo
Is WCG attempting to correct recent credit errors or is this another anomoloy? I can't tell if it affects individuals as I am not running anything here at the moment.

Re: BOINCStats - Site Revisions

That is strange. My individual user stats show pretty much the normal increase...
