I have done some off the cuff estimates and this is what I have arrived at.
----------------------------------------Current batch: 38735 Percent completed:44.41% Projected number of days left:354 Projected end date:03/14/2014 at the average present rate of the last 4 weeks. Projected end date :04/17/2014 at the average present rate of the last 8 weeks. (Remarkably close to herflick's estimate from March 3, 2013.) I used 05/08/2012 as the first date of the experiment which is not exactly correct, but it is the date the experiment started. I do not know when the first returns came in, nor the amount of overlap with the previous project. This is a very rough estimate. I await herflick's estimate. Cheers

'Ave worked out an automaton [no not The Turk famously]. Look at what http://bit.ly/WCGFAH says. The algo is classified [to protect against redundancy] ;>)
Previously agreed with herflick to call it "Experiment" completion, as the project will likely continue. |

I am going to throw my 2 cents worth in and see if over the coming weeks I can come close to the same projection as herflick. This would be my estimate:
----------------------------------------WEEKLY UPDATE - based on work averaged over the last 8 weeks: Current Batch - 38,832 Projected Days Left - 382 Projected End Date - April 15, 2014 Experiment Completion - 45.27 % Herflick has been doing this longer than I have and probably has a better estimate than I do. I just want to see if I can converge to his estimate (eventually). Cheers
