Reply Wrong Password On Bonic/Stats Sign Up Page, When trying To Attach

I cannot attach WCG at Bonic/Stats Page. Replies "Wrong password" or" No Response". I reset my e-mail and password several times with no change. My CPID is different on this account than my others. My Account information is the same.I opened this account up with a different username and password, than changed them to match. Please Help, Nightwish!

Hi,

Maybe the ! at end of your member name is the problem. You can change this on My Grid > My Profile back to Nightwish [which is what BOINCstats seems to know going by your credit chart in your post], save it and try again. The CPID is not really relevant. Long as on all accounts the same email address is recorded for your accounts, that one will align to the oldest CPID ever calculated at any of your projects.

edit: hmmm, there's a Nightwish with 1 year CPU time contributed and a NightWish! that has 2 days computing, which seems to have had work returned today.

.value=nightwish&userNames[1].value=night...alue=&firstLoad=false

Enter both the names and you may compare, who's who.

According to BOINCstats, you can have more than one username, as long as the email address for all projects remain the same. I do use the same email address on all accounts. The message says that I am using a wrong password when trying to attach to project. I have been running this project for some time now. I may have opened it up with a different email address when new. Could this be the problem?

Re: Reply Wrong Password On Bonic/Stats Sign Up Page, When trying To Attach

If you have more email addresses you may have used for member registration do following:

1. Member name recovery, entering all your email addresses, one at the time, and wait on reply. These will list the member names against which email address.

2. Password recovery: Enter the member name for which you lost password. An email will be send to the email address you confirmed under action 1. above.

Note that you no longer can have multiple member registrations with the same email address at the *same* project. This is BOINC convention. If you change the password or anything else on an account that has a duplicate email address you will be told.

Good Luck.

edit: Given that you're posting as Nightwish! and forum + account password are same, presume it is Nightwish you lost the password to. Generally if you use the BAM function of BOINCStats, the password has to be the same for all your membership accounts at projects for BAM to function correctly... more so the BOINCStats/BAM password has to be the same as the one at all your projects. By that convention and if using BAM, then the Nightwish password you already know.

Re: Reply Wrong Password On Bonic/Stats Sign Up Page, When trying To Attach

I have tried all the things listed and could find any other email address anymore for this account. My Email and password are the same as for my other projects. The only difference is the (!) after Nightwish because there is another person with the same username, Nightwish. That person started before me. I don't know how to fix this. Re: Reply Wrong Password On Bonic/Stats Sign Up Page, When trying To Attach

Considering that Nightwish is not yours, can't do anything about it. First come first. Looking at BOINCStats, http://boincstats.com/en/stats/search/#Nightwish there's crunchers from 10 countries going by that name or a derivative of it.

Sorry.

edit: For good order, WCG does not allow special characters in the password if there are any. Different password will be fine to all your other projects, long as the email address is same on Nightwish! and after attaching having a few days patience, your CPID will align to the oldest known for your email address at BOINC.
