Re: search for Leishmaniasis : title disappeared on the screensaver

Makes no sense but to think that you may needs to go back to plan A, sub 2. Delete all files with the dsfl in it and do it again.

Are the screensavers for other WCG sciences working correctly? For instance, GFAM or SN2S?

As to the messages not showing the download of the tga file, your snapshot of the directory shows it was received at 02:00 and your snapshot of the messages are at 18:23. You would need to check the messages around 02:00 to find the lines regarding the tga file download.

Before Plan A, sub 2, I have a new snapshot :

http://cjoint.com/?BEmbODcb32i

and this is a strange dsfl file .job with a red and white cross. If I delete all files and reload, I have two news units (without title) but with now two files .job with the same red and white cross; if I try again, I have this answer now :

"message from server : No tasks are available for Drug Search for Leishmaniasis"

Yes, the other screensavers I try look fine, for instance "Computing for Clean Water" or "Human Proteome Folding", but I don't try all.

I don't think the file was received at 02:00, but around 18:15; I am in France and the server maybe has not the same hour, I don't know why this peculiar hour 02:00 ...

Re: search for Leishmaniasis : title disappeared on the screensaver

Some guessing:

The icon for the .job extension are probably associated with some Windows' stuff and so has nothing to do with BOINC or this project (i.e. irrelevant to the problem you're facing). This also exists in at least one of my Win XP machines.

As for the "No tasks are available" message: maybe you've reached the daily quota?

-----

P.S. Have you excluded the whole BOINC data folder from scanning by anti-virus? Not sure if this is related to the problem though.

The X icon means that it's found the respective image file missing. Ownerships/Permissions? Run the BOINC installer and choose "Repair" to set those right.

Don't think this is the case. The said icon is assigned to that .job extension by the system: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/341/jobfile.png/

Re: search for Leishmaniasis : title disappeared on the screensaver

Think it's what one would call a fall-back / substitute / placeholder. I see a blank page icon with .job in the file type list, same for .ico and .jod and many others (W7). The .job has the description "Task scheduler task object" and the Icon default description "unknown application".

At any rate, it's of lesser interest. Think to fix this, a WCG detach in the BM, then delete wcg project folder content and an attach will be a guaranteed fix.

Yesterday ran DSFL exclusively on the Linux box together with DDDT2 (we hope to catch the occasional No Reply), and got a few instances of the message of there being no tasks for both DSFL. There's some homogeneity feeder issue for VINA jobs [see post knreed who wrote that they're working on zero redundancy for GFAM/SN2S/DSFL, which will mostly fix that], so it happens that repairs clog the system [as they get feeder priority] something along that line.

At this point, I agree with Sek. Detach, delete folder, and attach back to WCG.
