Hello,
I always try to make Worldcommunitygrid more commonly known. Here is a cheap way to get WCG out of the internet into reality: Everyone is invited to have a transparent sticker in the rear window of his / her car or somwhere else on his or her car. Sorry, I cannot (at least not now) send you such stickers, but there are firms making automobile promotion materials , stickers and so on. So: Make your car promote WCG, please. All the best: Kafejka |

I'd put a big WCG sticker on the back of my laptop 17" wide screen and flash it out in airport lounges (last spend 6 hours in an area [with access to 220V juice] where at least 1500 people hung out for brief or longer periods, waiting for their connections) and hotspot areas, but here is hoping.

How about the one on the Home page? The symbol then WCG, spelled out, then below that "technology solving problems". ![]() ![]() |

Not enough :) How about after the line 'technology solving problems' the NEXT line should be 'thru Distributed Computing'. We are talking a bumper or window sticker here, it must be clear, concise and most of all small but scalable. I am NOT putting a 4 foot by 6 foot sticker on my car but a 4 inch by 6 inch sticker is doable. SekeRob was talking about it on the lid of his 17 inch laptop, that is HUGE for a car window. ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by mikey159b at Sep 17, 2012 12:13:39 PM] |

I highly doubt many will understand the term "distributive computing", so may be a waste of sticker space. I know I have to explain what it means to even computer geeks, so unless you are driving through silicone valley...I doubt that term would be all that effective.

Well we could 'steal' the phrase 'many hands make short work' and change it a little bit to something like 'many pc's working together to solve the mankinds problems'. ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by mikey159b at Sep 18, 2012 2:04:01 PM] |

My car has a license plate frame which says 'Crunching For A Cure' bringing attention to my team and hopefully prospective membership.
