We have found the flaw in the algorithim that generates the successive generations of workunits which resulted in the very small workunits. We have stopped distributing any of the remaining existing set of small workunits and will be fixing the issue. We will be creating workunits that will allow us to finish off the batches. These workunits will be variable sized (most small to medium). We apologize for challenges that these small workunits have caused the members.

Hi Knreed,
----------------------------------------I thank you for the info and for the fix. Since WCG is generally very reliable, having a bigger issue within over 5 years of participation is not so critical. I suppose that it was more a challenge for WCG infrastructure than for the members, even if we experienced several crashes within few days. Many thanks for you and your team. Yves --- Especially in software and IT matter, nothing is more important than to identify and to understand the problem root causes. |

Thank you for the update and the resolution!
----------------------------------------I have 2000+ of the short WUs PV and given past experience a fair number will go No Reply. Will they be reissued as "shorties" or will the PV results be lost?

Good "practice" for the possible influx of GPU WU's though for WCG, and thank you on keeping us informed!!
P.S. I think some were happy to see their results returned position skyrocket ![]() |

Are these the last of this project then? Cos i invested all CPU power to Conquer Cancer to get it sapphire (witch i got now) and my second loved project "muscular" went little short, now i wanted switch all cpu power back to there, but i see this project is going over the finish line and seems i will never get gold (only 59days of needed 90) thats a mark for me for very great projects i really want to support hardly ^^
