There are two sets of logic that assign a deadline. The initial send or if a result is 'lost' and is resent. I'm trying to find the bug causing this and it isn't obvious (darn).

In my GFAM 34-day deadline case, I'm not aware of any lost results / resends occurring in my own messages. From the messages and the results status, it looks like an initial send. |

I have just received a WU with a strange deadline. Has anyone else encountered anything similar? HFCC_target-8_02429861_target-8_0001_0 - (-) 0.000 05:50:38 35d,23:07:53 Ready to start I am tempted to leave it and see if once 10-day deadline is reached it will be given a 'Too late' error. What do others suggest? [img=http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/3774/wcg35daydeadline.th.jpg] My wingman has a more realistic deadline Was this result resent? Or did you get this on the original assignment? Sorry for the delay in replying. From the link to Workunit Status in my original post, it looks as if mine was the FIRST ORIGINAL sent @ 13:47:01. My wingman's WU was sent at 13:58:31 and has the more expected deadline. I hope that helps. ![]() Crunching in memory of my Mum PEGGY, cousin ROPPA and Aunt AUDREY. |

UPDATE:
----------------------------------------FIFO principle appears to have worked. Without any intervention, the WU has started and is at present 48% complete with 3-day beta targets still in 'ready to start' status. ![]() Crunching in memory of my Mum PEGGY, cousin ROPPA and Aunt AUDREY. |

There are some results in the database that are due in Feb 2013 - did CPDN sneak some workunits onto our grid ![]() Don't know if this will help but I got a SN2S WU with a wierd deadline. BOINC Manager shows 4/6/12 11:21:11AM (US EDT) for the deadline. Result status shows something very different and more in line - 3/23/12 (10 days plus 2). The WU was sent on 3/11/12. Here's the info from RS: SN2S_ AAC62255_ 0000022_ 0817_ 1-- - In Progress 3/11/12 15:44:56 3/23/12 15:44:56 0.00 0.0 / 0.0 SN2S_ AAC62255_ 0000022_ 0817_ 0-- 613 Pending Validation 3/11/12 15:22:38 3/13/12 09:53:35 6.45 154.8 / 0.0 As you can see, the wingman has already gotten to this WU. EDIT: WU processed as would be expected with 3/23 date. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by keithhenry at Mar 19, 2012 10:33:04 AM] |
