WCG does keep in its list a few intermittent projects.
----------------------------------------The only ones that really qualifies as such is DDDT2, and Beta Test. We see regularly some activity here and there on these two ones. But all the other ones should qualify as completed as there is no activity at all (to my knowledge) like: IADS CEP DDDT In another word what are the rules at WCG to define a project as intermittent and for how long until considered completed. ![]() ![]() |

Yes, I was thinking the same thing... are they (CEP, IADS & DDDT) really intermittent projects? I haven't seen/heard anything about them in at least 2 years (probably more).

They're set as 'Intermittent', so that, if (whilst the second phase of a project is ongoing), the scientists want/find more WU's they'd like to process through the equivalent Phase 1 process, they can do.
----------------------------------------As yet, I haven't seen any go through this procedure (to my knowledge), although until the equivalent Phase 2 is complete (which, usually is done on a different computational method from the first phase), then Phase 1 will remain Intermittent. ![]() |

Any of these could have at some point in time extending / supplementary libraries to crunch, even recrunch with different parms. In fact sometime last year there was work being indicated for one of those 3. No reason given why that did not happen, nor think a reason has to be given... we crunch what we select to support. IADS BTW, proper moniker is FLU1. Given the hands full to even get DDDT2 work out, that will be well on the backburner. --//-- P.S. From Help, search word "Intermittent" https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/vi...searchString=intermittent |

gb009761 explains it well. The project scientists might have second thoughts and add some more work. We are ready if they do. After all, our main goal is good science, not some arbitrary amount of work. But we also want to keep our members alerted that more work MIGHT be done instead of hiding that fact. The word 'intermittent' was chosen with this possibility in mind. Well, we had to choose some word and there are many possibilities.
