Re: Will C4CW be the next project to finish ?

Yeap... that short link is the one I was referring to. BTW... that dashboard is a best effort made by Rob (which is very much appreciated applause ) using his inside trader info combined with which way the wind is blowing (it usually is a good guesstimation). It is good for high level/general planning efforts, but should not be taken a faith dogma biggrin . With that said, I just received WU c4cw_ target07_ 031722628... the end is near.... crunch, crunch, crunch...

[EDIT]: I finally made it to 1 year for this project (reached my goal)... will be diverting effort to other WCG projects... good luck to all, hope you make your goals !!!

2 things:
1) http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,34624
2) For target 7, it was stated that there would be aprox 4 million WUs and we're at 3,172,22 (although this is the 3rd or 4th time that we have been at this point)... check this thread http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,34508

Re: Will C4CW be the next project to finish ?

Since having bowed out of C4CW crunching [focus on a HFCC race to 3 years], it's pure computational theory that the 4 million mark has been reached again [3rd time] for T7. The dashboard counter now gives 0 days left of original work.

Re: Will C4CW be the next project to finish ?

I have tried to release WUs back to pot so others that need credit can pick up some additional units, but they keep being added back to my workload. C4CW seems to like at least one of my computers.
confused

Aborting unstarted tasks and deselecting the science on the device profile go hand in hand. If you abort, either or, reduce the buffer setting too, else your client will want to backfill immediately.

When I aborted the tasks, C4Cw wasn't even listed as an available task. They still backfilled, and I see a few more new ones that have reappeared on both of my computers.

Guess I'll just go ahead and let them run.

Re: Will C4CW be the next project to finish ?

osugrad, if you haven't got C4CW selected (in either the Projects selection screen or Device selection screen), have you got the box marked "if there's no work for my selected projects, please send work from other projects" (or words to that effect - due to the Stats update, I can't currently get into the Project Selection screen to see the exact wording)?
