confused huh... why did I get a HPF2 WU ? [answered]

I'm exclusively crunching HCMD2 (trying to get to the gold badge). This is the only project I currently have selected on "My Projects" page. One of my machines woke up this morning with a HPF2 WU in the queue. Is HCMD2 going into hibernation mode again? confused

Thanks,
CJSL

Re: huh... why did I get a HPF2 WU ?

Have you got the "if no work available..." box selected?, if so, then perhaps there was just a very tempory shortage of HCMD2 WU's...

Re: huh... why did I get a HPF2 WU ?

Yeap, the "if no work available..." box is selected. I imagine that is why I got the HPF2 WU... I was just wondering if anybody knew anything about this storage of HCMD2 WUs? I'm guessing if this was something planned then we would have heard of it by now... therefore I'll assume that this is an unexpected temporary shortage of HCMD2 WUs (I hope it's not serious or extended).

Thanks,

Re: huh... why did I get a HPF2 WU ?

Short answer is it can happen.

Somewhat longer answer is in the way they load the feeder. Occasionally there simply won't be results available for a given project due to any number of reasons. Once this project gets closer to the end expect to see many periods where HCMD2 units are simply not available. Due to the way work is generated, it will be spotty as the project finishes up.

KWSN... thanks for the response. I've never been through a project end, so I didn't expect this. I just received a HCMD2 WU on another machine, so I guess it was a dry spell hiccup tongue .

Thanks again for the info....
