Re: Lots of inconclusives

CIJSL.,

I am note sure the remaining time could become normal.... because , I have cancelled after 90 mn of computation, remaining 1102 hourS.....
That might have been a bad move IMHO...

I had at least 3 hosts that got one of those but at some point, the remaining time rapidly declined and those WUs finished within a pretty normal 2-3h range...

Re: Lots of Pending Verification

The good news is, now that "Inconclusive" has been renamed to "Pending Verification", they too are now in PV Jail ;P. Suddenly I have 11, with 9 of them from the last 2 hours before midnight :|

Re: Lots of Pending Verification

Suddenly I had lots of PV (formerly inconclusive) for one machine which had ZR before. So I checked when they started, and it was immediately after a repair unit was server aborted. All WUs completed before that time had Minimum Quorum 1 and Replication 1, all WUs completed later (until new WU were sent with quorum 2) had Minimum Quorum 1 and Replication 2 and therefore got inconclusive. Not a single one was invalid or with error (other than Server Aborted).
So does 'Server aborted' now counts as error which makes that host unreliable?

Re: Lots of Pending Verification

No. [Seems] It depends on which client you're running to get the error identification for a server abort... probably you/that wingman with the error code is using a 7.0.xx client where they messed with the bail out codes, right? You can see in the quorum detail...

ZR trustworthiness is restored with 5 sequential valids, which is different to being reliable to act as a repairman/verifier.

Re: Lots of Pending Verification

Client is 5.10.45 on a Windows XP prof. 32bit host. App version is 610. Don't know which error code was returned. Result log shows only Server aborted.

Re: Lots of Pending Verification

knreed would have to look at that logic. Server aborts are not to count against reliability... if it does, it only adds to unnecessary grid inefficiency. Presume your Result Log said server aborted, but the status on the Result Status page said so too, and not an *Error* status which cause the 7.0.xx to signal with he wrong exit code such as with these 2 which are user aborted and also list as *Error* when looking on the RS pages. They never ran, so why would it change reliability?

World Community Grid 6.40 dddt2 dg05_d295_pcb012_1 00:00:00 (00:00:00) 25-6-2012 21:44:28 25-6-2012 21:45:31 -1,#J Aborted (203)

Think that 202 is indicating Server Aborted IIRC.

Re: Lots of Pending Verification

I have the same "server abort" repair, next single val returns all going PVer on 6.10.58, Vista, SN2S wu. Any SN2S with wingman all valid. and all new downloads have rep 2. have not been able to val my 5 yet, waiting for wingman :(

Edit: and just to add salt, Still getting repair jobs on that box, just they need a wingman when issued i.e. -0 goes No reply, I get -1, then a -2 is issued as I am now rep 2 ;)

Mine was the repair unit. But cannot find a return value as in your example. :-(
