I just started WCG a couple of days ago. My computers are dual socket 1366 servers. They are not OC'd, stock setup. They have 2 x 6 core cpu's with a total of 6GB of memory each. My settings are to run all avaialbe projects and the device settings are for maximum output. I have 13 projects that have come back with the error:
----------------------------------------Result Log Result Name: qa859_ 00053_ 17-- <core_client_version>6.10.58</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> Incorrect function. (0x1) - exit code 1 (0x1) </message> <stderr_txt> ERROR:: Exit at: .\nblist.cc line:711 </stderr_txt> ]]> I am only getting errors for this project only, Human Proteome Folding, none for the other projects. ![]() |

Hi Horvat1,
----------------------------------------"new to WCG" is you, but not the error message ;>), Welcome. WCG techs / members have been unable to discover why some computers have this fail with "line:711". Sometimes, but not heard on all as in your case. For me they used to fail only when a FightAIDS or a Help Fight Childhood Cancer was already running on another core [multi core/processor device], with a different bug that the techs after years managed to isolate and fix, which is when the "line:711" error started to show, but only at 10% of the low fail rate that the old bug had. Right now, if only sometimes erroring [in other words run successfully at other times], just let them come. They fail right at the beginning, so no CPU time is wasted. If the error is constant on that science, deselect in the Device Manager. Sorry, but that's the only "solution" that can be offered at this time Thanks for joining WCG. --//-- edit: Interestingly, I knew a Horvat from former Yugoslavia (Stepan), so guess you're from the Balkans somewhere, Kroatia maybe. Let's hope the snow comes. Hardly anything here on the tops, that what fell beginning November mostly melted away again. It's been dry and too warm for the year. Thank you for the reply. Teh cpu time is minimal. I have had a couple more since I first posted. Run time is 0.01 to 0.02 hours.
----------------------------------------Actually my dad is from former Hungary then Yugoslavia after WWII. He immigrated to U.S. after the war. ![]() |
