I'm returning to crunch on this project (after chasing other milestones on other projects). Due to the nature of this project (or at least this part of the project... not sure which), 19 copies of the WU are sent out and the WU is validated when a minimum of 15 WUs are valid (sorry for the long intro). So, my questions are:
----------------------------------------- What happens if the minimum quorum (15 WUs) isn't met? - Is the WU sent out again? - Do the crunchers get some credit if the quorum isn't met? - Has this ever happened before? Thanks, CJSL ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by cjslman at Dec 31, 2011 7:24:48 PM] |

If any WUs come back as error, invalid, inconclusive or out of time etc, then replacement WUs are sent out.

it's all explained within the post detailed here Re: Results Status page - HPF2 project
----------------------------------------Thus, Validation is successful if at least 'min_agreement' results are determined to be valid. If there are not at least 'min_agreement' valid results, then all the results are marked as 'INCONCLUSIVE' and an additional result is sent out. Each time an additional result is returned, validation is attempted again. ![]() |

gb009761 & pcwr... thanks for the response. The link answered all my questions. The way the HPF2 validation is setup will make following this project a little more interesting.
----------------------------------------Thanks for the info... learned something new today CJSL |
