Yep Judson, there are serious rumblings about another project. It is, in theory at least, a GPU project. That is a science program that runs on graphics cards instead of on the CPU (I7 or whatever). Mum is the word but it sounds like we should see a beta soon after the first. That is all I know about it really. I will likely jump on it when it starts but it will take a while because I have no idea what kind of GPU (Graphics card) would be the most cost effective. Oh well.

I got up this morning with all the best intentions. First thing, and by far the most serious, is that my coffee maker quit. That just isn't right; no civilized human being should be expected to demonstrate sentience without first having a cup of coffee.

Next, my internet connection was down. I like to think that I am a reasonable fellow. Others might not agree but I prefer to think that despite the fact that it might be delusional. But to expect me to be easy going without coffee borders on lunacy.

So, I look up the telephone number of Windstream. For those of you that don't know that name, it is a sorta rural phone company and since I am sorta rural, they are my phone company. Now if there is one thing that you would think a telephone company should have it is a telephone. To be fair, I think Windstream does but they were both busy the dozen or so times that I tried to call. That is probably a good thing since my mood was North of angry and had we discussed it, I still might not have service. Finally of course, my internet service came back and now I am more or less happy. Actually, they must still be flushing some rust out of the pipes or something because it still seems to hiccup intermittently. I suppose that they just took their phone off the hook because they were both busy hunting the internet connection service problem.
