Yes nano, I have done everything I can think of to improve Merry's Win 7 performance Power plan set to high performance? Nothing running in the background hogging resources? Have you run spyware/malware scans? There has got to be something that's slowing it down.

Have you run spyware/malware scans? There has got to be something that's slowing it down. Yes. I have done all that. Now I am going back and taking out all of the Windows Live stuff. I think there is a Skype module remaining; I am off to find and kill it. I agree with your last statement. "..has got to be something that's slowing it down."  Good Morning MOT Congratulations Coingames and cknotty!! It is a brisk Sunday morning here. We are finishing up the wrapping of all the Christmas presents and final finishing touches on the furniture we built; And about to shake our heads in haughty derision at the TV coverage of the crowded mauls (yes spelling intended ). Hey.. So many years of being so busy that we couldn't find time for anything and now we have time to get ahead of the curve. There has to be some offset for all the aches, pains, arthritis, fading eyesight, bad hearing and somehimers that goes with getting old. Everyone should take time to have a good day today.
