Re: New Heights...

@RJ,
When I get my 7950 up and online, you should consider throwing any NV cards over to GpuGrid. I'm averaging 600Kish there with 2X570's. We have [H] on our radar and could seriously cut overtake down with a few high end or (any for that matter) NV cards ;)
You can use any remaining CPU cores for FAH or WCG or whatever :) Let's get [H] nervous here at Boinc. Maybe we can get them to divert resources from FAH and help them retake #1.

This is really getting interesting :) I think the whole PG/FAH incident(s) may have been for the best biggrin love struck

Re: New Heights...

Funny you should say that about the NV GPUs, I've been putting a couple over that way the last couple of days. Also doing some Muon 1 along with trying some more HCC on NV GPUs I hadn't tried it on yet.

With the introduction of Quick Return Bonus for GPUs and PG focusing on optimized cores for Kepler and AMD, the next couple of months could see us put quite a bit of pressure back on [H] without getting them to switch over this way. If they do end up spreading out their resources more, it could become very interesting on all fronts.

Re: New Heights...

Awesome is more the description, IMO. Now Team EVGA is a potent and viable force to be reconned with on multiple fronts.
Holy Crap, We've done gone Global.
Any place you wanna put your NV is cool. Just didn't know if you were aware of the advantage that GpuGrid brought to the table on the Boinc side ;)
So OTOH, What type projects is PG/FAH working on for GPU lately?

OK. Yeah, I've done a few different projects in the past and found a couple that like the NV GPUs.

So OTOH, What type projects is PG/FAH working on for GPU lately?

If you could, please clarify your question. Projects, as in diseases, or as in software development?

Re: New Heights...

As in diseases. Is there a way to choose yet?
I'm still in top 400 all time in FAH stats just by my shdbcamping (not simply by my passkey). I left for the inability to choose my science. I don't feel "comfy" with PG/FAH cramming what they want me to do down my throat :(
If that ever changes, you know where to find me blushing

Re: New Heights...

They do have a box to select the preferred science in the v7 client now, but it still doesn't guarantee that you will not get something else all the time. It may become more refined as time goes on.

Re: New Heights...

That setting is for the whole client, both CPU and GPU.

Looking forward to the team's rise in the ranks.

Time for me to go off to work. See ya!

Re: New Heights...

For all interested the Crunching forum @ EVGA has a thread that points to the last round of slogan voting for the team. Remember to vote and the swag will carry the new slogan on most items!
