[ot]on the 100systems - could conceivably have an impact here; 800 or even 1600 'limited production' tasks disappearing from the feeders might mean outages for others. For non-WCG projects, definitely contact the researchers first; some projects only have a few hundred or couple of thousand tasks in the feeders, so you would definitely impact there. This is why projects are not keen on unannounced (to the researchers) cross-project Team Challenges. Fortunately most teams are aware of the situation. It's also why the CA's and many of the more experienced crunchers don't throw all cores at new projects here, and probably one of the reasons new projects are not announced/available to select several days in advance.[/ot]
