Probably a .1 day buffer and was able to switch projects almost as soon as it started.

Same as me, except I had a 1. buffer of DSFL (longer WU) and he may have had HCC. Five weeks until my 14th sapphire. cool

If you have many machines at disposal, and concerted let them request work, you could be grabbing both wingman.... yes you could. The rule is only to ensure a single device does only get 1 of a WU.

Re: GO Fight Against Malaria Project Recoginition Thread

A user can have more then one computer crunch for wcg. The faqs say if you are planning to have a hundred comps run wcg on one user account to contact them directly for assistance.

I think that is at one time though and one can remove comps from wcg.

Some people apparently use wcg to run stress tests on comps they repair for people.

Re: GO Fight Against Malaria Project Recoginition Thread

Lets hope these stress testers have the courtesy of removing BOINC before returning the device to the legal owner and not let it run concealed as a service, else they could be passing WCG a bad name when the owner finds out.[/ot]

That's new to me... having 100 then plz contact directly, but can understand that if that represents hundreds of cores and it goes off line, it impacts production ( potentially thousands of tasks of same batches stuck in No Reply). We have the Green man event still freshly in mind, eating through the feeder reserves.

Re: GO Fight Against Malaria Project Recoginition Thread

I wish I could recall from what faq it said to contact wcg for assistance in installing the software on over a hundred computers at once for an account.

Was a while back a week or two that I think that I read that and the wcg seems to have three separate help sections. My memory may be fault.

The help page was talking about how many devices you can have running wcg at once under the same account.

The device limit is like... limitless. Knreed likes challenges in the WU supply chain, so bring it on... We dare you :P

(On topic, 8 days away from bronze at this pace. Continue to run the formerly 3, now 4 way mix. (1 on hold and one needing to be kicked more than frequent as the feeders seem not to want to part of their stock)

The key is lots and lots of cores.
