Congratulations !
----------------------------------------This project for sure is very welcome once malaria is one of major diseases that reach a lot of people around the world. Hope that all grid computing projects which actually researching Malaria get fast results in order to acellerate the cure. Think that the WCG crunchers tribe could help a lot for scientists engaged on that. Good luck.
Cheers ! GIB@

----------------------------------------And a lot will follow!! Thanks a lot for this project! As all crunchers wrote before, this is one of the major diseases on the world! And of course, thanks for the nice badge-design!! :D

Every new projet is a good news according to me.
But I wonder if this projet is different from other projets like Malariacontrol.net. I have the same question for projets Rosetta@home & Spinhenge, Docking@home, ... Do these projets have the same frame of research ? Or do they search in different ways ? For French speaking or understanding people : "est-ce que ces projets doublonnent ? Ou est-ce qu'ils sont complémentaires ?" Thanks a lot, and have a nice crunching-day ! |

Malariacontrol.net is a behaviourial project. It is not looking for new drugs. Rosetta@home is mainly for learning new things.Designing new drugs is a secondary goal. Spinhenge is a physics project. Docking@home uses diferent software, techniques and is for HIV not malaria. AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |

Congratulations on this new and important project.
There is much speculation that global warming will increase the malaria footprint significantly - if so, then this research is doubly important. |

Participation is certainly slow on this end, only got 5 WU's on 5 different hosts so far, with only one finished and validated at that point...

Hi Sekerob,
Thank you very much! This project was definitely approved and launched much, much faster than I ever hoped or imagined. But the extra work seems to have paid off. ;) Hmmm.....I don't know Italian, but I did study some French and Spanish many years ago. Does that phrase mean "in the mouth of the wolf"? If so, it's an apt saying, as we sometimes refer to the submission of jobs to World Community Grid as "feeding the beast". Thank you very much for your support, Dr. Alex Perryman |
