Hello,
----------------------------------------I've just bought a new computer and I wanted to run WCG projects in it. BOINC asks me to write my e-mail adress and my password, and after "thinking" a while, it says "an error has occurred; check the Event Log for details." I check it and all what it says about WCG is "12/11/2011 13:04:25 | | Fetching configuration file from http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/get_project_config.php" Nothing else. What should I do? Forget it for a few hours and try again later: I just noticed that the WCG site is a little frozen at the moment, maybe some housekeeping operations in the background.
----------------------------------------I had changed my selection of projects in one of my profiles and although the change had been accepted correctly the server was still delivering WUs according to my former selection. I don't mean that your problem is certainly linked to this situation, but trying to dig into it while things are not strictly normal as they should might be a waste of time. |

BOINC asks me to write my e-mail adress and my password, and after "thinking" a while, it says "an error has occurred; check the Event Log for details." And by the way, when attaching to WCG, normally you are asked for your membername and password, not your email address.  Which BOINC version have you installed, and where have you downloaded it from ? |

 In the other projects it asks me for my e-mail adress, but in WCG for my member name. Many thanks JmBoullier!! |
