Boinc 6.12.34 x86_64 won't connect to WCG
Hi,
Just upgraded 6.12.33 to 6.12.34 on Win 2K3 server, and now the WCG project is no longer able to communicate with the server.
Scheduler requests fail with the message "Scheduler request failed: HTTP error 0".
Uploads fail with messages such as: "Temporarily failed upload of DSFL_nnnnn_nnnn_nnnn: HTTP error"
BOINC is configured to use a proxy.
S@H works fine after the upgrade.
Is this a known problem?
Is there a fix or do I have to revert to 6.12.33?

Yes, special Start Here FAQ was created for this last month, with you in mind! Plz go fetch 6.12.33 (Ubuntu sup-ported) or lower and things will work.

Thanks for your quick reply. Had searched the FAQ index for 6.12.34 before posting. Will reinstall the old client. Is a fix being worked on?

On Windows machines there already is a fix, it is a file signature problem, but I do not know about Linux.

Which Windows version after 6.12.41 has this fix? There's just 6.12.43 out for testing - not a recommended version! (plz no refs to 6.13 alpha test client, which showed the bug per reports by same user that had the issue).

The FAQ has "http error 0" in the title btw, Gurra. WCG will stick to 6.10.58. That's the audited release.
