Would be a good place for folks who upgrade there stuff and sell the older stuff to fellow crunchers. Just a suggestion.

Hmmm, while I can see what you mean, it doesn't sound right for the WCG forums.
- Flee market: there is already something like eBay for this, totally regulated. What if something goes wrong with a deal made on the forum here? Who is liable? - Upgrading: when looking for bragging rights about cycles, know-how about putting together and so on, there are plenty of existing forums outside WCG. Those can then also serve as promotional platform for WCG. Imagine a post on some forum starting with "I want to assemble a WCG optimised machine with a budget of $ (€) ..... Who has suggestions?". The admins can decide on this, of course, but I don't see any advantage for users, WCG or the scientists. |
