Since this is the suggestion forum, I'm going to phrase this in the form of a suggestion:
Can we have a more basic explanation of credits, please?

I see all sorts of answers to questions about how credits are awarded, and how to make sure you're getting all of your credits, and things like that, you guys are doing a really great job on that end.

However as hard as I look, I can't seem to find the answer to this one question: What are they FOR? Are they just for bragging rights? Is there some sort of store somewhere I can spend them? Do I get kicked out if I don't make enough credits? Is the project over after I put a certain number of credits into it? If so, how many? If I make a bunch of them will I get a visit from Edward Norton? Seriously, what the heck do they do?

I'll admit, there's a good chance that the dozen or so ways I've worded my search queries have managed to somehow skirt around this issue, and it's somewhere perfectly obvious that I've missed.

So that's my suggestion: Please add a section to the FAQ pages explaining the use and purpose of credits. I had no idea that this program even had any kind of "credit" system until the information popped up on the screen saver, and now I'm deeply curious about it.
