Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 53 smilesmile

Congratulations to new milestone achievers! Hopefully will have time to build my new computer this weekend. With Franky doing 24 WU's at a time anything less seems so antiquated. Funny how not that many years ago processing speed and perhaps megabytes of RAM were the most impotant parameters! Anyway have a great day! RT is that temp soft ware useful!

coffee coffee coffeeGood Morning MOT coffee coffee coffee

Good Morning Visitors. Please consider Joining MOT smile

Congratulations to jpenning, Lanscader and Hintsala! applause applause applause

Judson...Not sure what your question is. confused

Finally I think all the horses are in harness again. I added that Vostro Laptop but It does not look like I can run 4 simultaneous WUs on it as it runs the fan too hard. I will be looking at other options but as of now, it is running 3WUs and the fan still seems to be running a bit too fast to suit me.

Everyone have a GREAT day!! It is important!

And Thanks for contributing to the World Community Grid! hugs

Hi Judson, I didn't think that even Windows 7 would support that many WUs running simultaneously. Does it or you using something other than Windows? My work at IBM was with large iron where thousands of address spaces run to support system functions, background work, and TSO users, so I know what a computer system is capable of but I don't know what Franky does.

Normally I can find you here, GeraldRube,
and I need a piece of advice.

I wonder how you manage to pack in all of that
ironmongery into your signature.
Look at mine: Nothing in particular,
but if I want to give the text a colour, I
exceed my allowance of characters ...
... that's why it's a dull black sad
How do you do it?

I want to think Judson got a motherboard with three quad CPUs on it with HT (or is it two sixes?).

LM, it's easy with images. You use something like tinyurl.com or bt.ly to generate a short URL that points to the full URL of where the image is stored. With text, it's a lot harder. A downside to adding more and more images to your sig is that they can get to where the sig is normally bigger than your post. Loading lots of images can slow browsing for folks with slow connections.

Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 53 smilesmile

Hi keithhenry smile
Thank you for your information.
I imagined it would be something like this as far as pictures go,
and as you see, pictures do not take up a lot of space in my
signature, so I cannot pack them. The links is eating my allowance.
I would love to have the text in some colour tho,
- but never mind.

devilish Who would have thought that a tiny signature like mine
takes up more space than an aircraft carrier ....
