Jean Pierre, I am a little uncomfortable with your position.

An Institute, University and whatever public institution has the right to have systems that enable them to control and check what is going on and who does what on their network, and with their equipment. After all they bear the cost.

I totally agree with the counsel given to contact the IT and see with the Institute if the accept and allow their students to use their facilities to crunch for WCG.

To the contrary I do not agree on counseling how to hack the system.
Even if all this can be found on the internet, I may be wrong but as a CA I do not think it is your role to openly push for it and forward the tools.

Look, there are huge advantages in talking to your IT department, search Boinc/WCG for Marist college, Rochester college etcetera. Your college in India could be one of the best known in the Indian sub-continent if only YOU would talk to your peers & Professors.

And if you fail, Yeah hack it, but it would be cooler to convince them to do what you want.
