Re: Error - parser error

6.13.4 is so bleeding alpha, I don't understand why anyone is coming to a production grid such as WCG to report a problem... really need to go to Berkeley for that.. Seems even some versions of the 6.13 ALPHA development versions were retracted so bad they were.

Sorry.

Solution: Return to 6.10.58-6.10.60 or 6.12.33. That will crunch reliably for 99.99% of the volunteers.

P.S. 6.13.4 and 6.13.1 are also so not backward compatible even between these 2, it requires pretty much complete clean out before you can install a good "recommended" version. Read the instructions: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=6698
EXTRA WARNING

The new BOINC 6.13 range is using completely new, from the ground up rewritten code for many of its parts. It is not to be used if you are not an alpha tester. It is not to be used on all of your machines, just on one. When it doesn't work, report your problems to the developers and return to the latest 6.12.recommended.

Re: Error - parser error

While some info is useful to most projects, I think this one has it's own internal testers, and it would be best to just post to the alpha/beta test email group. So I second the suggestion that most should stick to 6.10.58, rather than alpha test.
I know that the scheduler is a rebuild (doesn't work as it use to) and that GPU readings were disabled for some test versions, as a quick fix to recent ATI drivers (for XP). Some alpha 6.13.x versions were quickly withdrawn and some not available from the main download page.
Most should wait for a more mature Beta
Note that a full uninstall is required to go from the buggy BOINC 6.13.x alphas back to previous generations sad
