---------------------------------------- No worries... just correcting the title... it might be a little confusing with titles like "85 days left to HFCC", when the dashboard is showing 120 days left to the project (which will probably change up/down again since it's only "best-can-do estimates" with people changing to/from projects, projects starting/stopping, etc). But we still gotta keep crunching... crunching... crunching.... |

Based on today's Dashboard Chart , we are at 120 days left.
The 120 number is based on the 7-day average or returned workunits. This puts the end date projection at sometime April 2012. This could all change if other project slow down or speed up. Help Cure Cancer (HCC) is supposed to end in projected 43 days, so my prediction is that once HCC ends the HCC crunches will switch over the HFCC. |

Help Cure Cancer (HCC) is supposed to end in projected 43 days, so my prediction is that once HCC ends the HCC crunches will switch over the HFCC. herflick, you may not have seen the info from the techs stating that there could well be a delay between Target 7 ending and the start of Target 8. As to how long this delay may be, no indication has been publicly stated (not to my knowledge anyway). So, obviously, that'll have an effect on the final end date of this project. As things currently stands, the priority of HFCC has been reduced, to delay the end of Target 7... So, the projected end date, will be purely a guess at this stage of the game...  |

Not doing HFCC, but if anyone posts a recent WU, it's easy to approximate how much is left in T7 and how many CPU years this target will require. T7 so far through noon:
Validated tasks: 6,229,407 CPU Years: 4,641 The same library used for T8, it's from there on fairly certain how many CPU years for this target. --//-- |

That's less than 65,000 ** compounds left to distribute, times 2 (per compound), times 1.25 to use the tech factor for all forms of *repair*. Daily validations is current avg, 22k.

With the announcement that all Target 7's have been sent to the BOINC hopper (i.e., WCG have no more still to send), the last WU for this target that I received (@ 06/12/11 11:14:32), was HFCC_target-7_02846325_target-7_0000_0--.
----------------------------------------So, for the benefit of those who (right at the end of target 8) are looking for the "end game", it does look as though the total compounds is ~2.854 million. |

Darn, I just switched all my machines to this project so I could make 5 years before it ends.
Hopefully batch 8 is ready in four days. |
