Hi. I am trying to find out how to add another pc/workstation to my account. I got one already (PC) but would like to add my new PC as well. This to the same account. Tried to find this in the help and in the forums but could not find anything that helped me. Probably this is very easy...
Meybe someone have a step by step to do this? Regards /A |

Hi again.
well thats the procedure i did but the account window never appears so i can not "connect" the new installation to my account in world community grid. Is it a way to force it to open the account window or any other way to install? /A |

Once you have installed Boinc manager on your new PC (preferably version 6.10.58 to be downloaded on WCG website) then you should start it and open it. Select the "Tools" sub-window and there click on "Attach to Project". Once in there you have the choice between "Attach to project" or "Attach to account manager". Select "Attach to project" and click "Next". Then you have to give your account name and password and there you go, your machine will be attached.

You cannot add a second computer from the first PC (if that's the problem).
----------------------------------------Goto the second PC, install Boinc, restart, select Attach to new project, select World Community Grid, enter your WCG Account NAME (not email) and password... If you are trying this from the second PC, perhaps you need to restart, or re-install Boinc. What Operating System does your second PC have? On Vista/W7 you might need to add a firewall exception and run the installation as administrator. What version of Boinc did you install? If you are trying to follow instructions for 6.10.x but installed the latest Boinc version from Berkeley the instructions don't match; lots of name changes and relocation under different Tabs. Ah that made it. Had to detach and attach to wcg again with account name. Great. Thanx to you both.
