For example Childhood Cancer works fine. When I stop Clean Energy or restart boinic, Clean Energy returns almost to begining.

That is because checkpoints can sometimes be hours apart.

I noticed this when about 6-7 hours of work went missing. If CEP requires more hours continue work in one shot, then I would say it's quite big bug.
Checkpoints depend on real time or on amount of work done? |

If CEP requires more hours continue work in one shot, then I would say it's quite big bug. Not really a bug, this project is designed this way. But definitely a big issue. I agree with Falconet. It's better to run CEP2 on systems that are turned on for large periods of time. Multi-core systems that require frequent restarts will waste a lot of energy (oh, the irony) with this project. |

Hello Sylwester Zdanowski,
Read the warnings for CEP2 carefully. Be sure that you have 'Leave Application In Memory' checked or any time you suspend it you will lose everything back to the last checkpoint. I suspect that that is what is happening. The Default 'Standard Settings' profile suspends BOINC much too readily. If you have a desktop with no cooling problems, try running the 'Maximum Output' profile. Lawrence |
