Back from two weeks of holidays, I restart ma compuetr and discover that a new project appeared and that one WU is downloaded.
I try to get some more in enlarging my cache and selecting only DSL. Th answer is : 03/09/2011 23:24:10|World Community Grid|Message from server: No work sent 03/09/2011 23:24:10|World Community Grid|Message from server: No work is available for Drug Search for Leishmaniasis 03/09/2011 23:24:10|World Community Grid|Message from server: (reached daily quota of 4 results) At this time I ahve only one WU which is not yet begun.... Is ther something wrong ? Do I have only the right to 4 WU ? Why do I hav only one, then ? Or are there only 4 WU dispatched among all crunchers ? Who will explain me this mystery and tell me how toi get some more WU on this brand new projetc ? |

Legrandpiou, you say you're just back from a 2 week holiday - how did you leave your computers before you left? (I'm assuming that they weren't left on whilst you were away).
----------------------------------------So, did you let them all literally run out of WU's, or were there some (perhaps, quite a few) left - and thus, would by now have gone past there due-by date? If it was the latter, how did you/the machine(s) handle these? Basically, what I'm thinking, is that the aborting of all these old WU's may have reduced your machine(s) reliability rating to such a low level that it's now at the lowest level (and hence, you're now at that low quota level). The simple answer is to get those WU's which you've managed to download, running and successfully returned, then you'll get more. Also, a new day will allow more to be fetched (i.e., at 00:00 UTC). ![]() |

Just wait until your computer returns a valid result, and your quota will go up.

If you need to have a large cache size (say on a system that only rarely has Internet) then HCC tasks take the least time. So you could run a few of those, manually upload and report them. That way your quota would rise quickly, and allow you to have a larger cache. If your system does have continuous Internet then you don't need to do anything.

When I know I will be shutting down my pc's for any length of time I try to "Not accept any new work" and then just let the existing work finish before shutting down. This prevents the WU's finishing too late, upon restarting the PC I reverse it and accept new WU's... plain and simple

Great. Thank you. Essentially, a reliable device will never hit the quota in its lifetime.
